2nd Annual Spread the Music Benefit Concert 2017
Spread the Music Association held the Second Spread the Music Benefit Concert on August 12, 2017. All proceeds were donated to Girl Up, a United Nations Foundation, to help purchase bicycles for girls in Malawi who have to walk more than 10 miles to school. A total of $9,676.80 was donated to Girl Up.
Combined with last year's concert, SMA has raised over $16,000 for Girl Up.
We would like to thank Christ Church Sugar Land for offering its sanctuary for us to perform and rehearse in! Thank you to all the SMA members for the hundreds of hours of work each of you have spent in rehearsing, practicing, promoting, and volunteering for the concert.
We would also like to thank NAYCO, North America Youth Chinese Orchestra, and the Girl Up Houston club for helping the SMA benefit concert.
Thank you all for your unending support and for making this concert so successful!
Spread the Music; Spread the Love.
